The study highlights the lived experiences of female lawyers focusing on their struggle for dismantling social, cultural, structural and institutional barriers. Despite achieving their professional goals these women face challenges that create hurdles in achieving excellence in the profession and equitable position within their organization and community. Analysis drawn from qualitative data collected through semi-structured interviews with female lawyers provides deep insight into the systematic and cultural constraints and societal resistance they face to progress in the male dominated society. The research framework incorporates Bourdieu’s Theory of Social Practice which explores how power dynamics and cultural norms shape the experience of working women, and Feminist Organizational Theory which focuses on gender inequality in patriarchal societies. Findings show that these lawyers face dual burden: along with challenging cultural expectations that marginalize them and their authority they have to face rigid institutional hierarchies. Furthermore, absence of gender sensitive policies, restricted resources and inadequate mentorship results in psychological distress and professional unproductivity. Despite facing these obstacles women are stepping ahead to the empowerment by demonstrating resilience through solidarity, and participation in mentorship programs. The results underlines the urgent need for systematic interventions to overcome the cultural and structural barriers that hinders women’s progress. The findings offer valuable insights into creating more inclusive, equitable law enforcement institutions that empower women in leadership positions.
