Keywords:
Insurgency, Economic grievances, Exploitation of Resources, SeparatismAbstract
For decades, militancy and economic problems have afflicted Pakistan's largest and most resource-enriched region, Balochistan. The province is still among the most underdeveloped regions of Pakistan in spite of its abundance of natural resources, which include minerals, fisheries, and agricultural land. The existing study looks at how economic grievances and resource exploitation contribute to insurgency in Balochistan. Through an analysis of the dynamic links between resource exploitation and economic grievances, this research offers insightful perspectives on the root causes of insurgency in Balochistan and emphasizes the necessity of inclusive and sustainable development policies to tackle the province's enduring economic and social issues.
