Abstract

The research will discuss how employee well-being contributes towards job satisfaction and employee performance in the banking industry of Khairpur Mir, Pakistan. Conceptualization of employee behavior and psychology is the current responsibility of the corresponding financial organizations given the high pressures, digitalization, and demands which dominate the financial industry today. The research study uses quantitative approach to research where the data would be gathered on 220 bank employees through structured questionnaire measuring validated scales. Data was analyzed statistically by means of SPSS with three fundamental tests which included reliability, correlation and regression analysis. The data indicates that the instrument has a high reliability with Cronbach Alpha =.872. Correlation testing showed that there were strong positive associations between well-being of employees, job satisfaction and their performance. Regression analysis also assured that well-being of the employees plays a significant role in determining the job satisfaction (R 2 = 0.567) and the performance of the employee (R 2 = 0.399). These outcomes support the affirmation that investing in the well-being of the organizational workforce will yield results in the sense of an increased job satisfaction and performance among the employees facilitated by the psychological support, work-life balance, and endowing employees with a meaningful work.  There is a practical implication of this research to human resource managers, policymakers, and other people in the banking business who need to develop a healthier and more productive working environment. It also strengthens the assertion that well-being is not limited only to a welfare issue but a strategic action towards excellence in organizations.
