SUSTAINABLE ENERGY MANAGEMENT IN DEVELOPING COUNTRIES: A REVIEW

Rapid population expansion, urbanization, restricted generation capacity and poor energy infrastructure imply that developing countries confront major challenges to supply the increasing energy demands. These challenges lead to regular power outages, substantial transmission and distribution losses and continuous reliance on fossil fuels. Sustainable energy management has become a necessity in the areas to improve energy efficiency, reliability and environmental sustainability. This study gives a comprehensive analysis on sustainable energy management in developing nations mainly focusing on renewable energy integration, smart grid technologies, demand side control and energy efficiency approaches. The research also emphasizes the growing importance of new technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT) and artificial intelligence (AI) in today’s energy systems. Also, there is a study of significant technological, economic and policy concerns specific to developing countries. The report finishes with a discussion of future research directions for enabling sustainable, secure, and efficient energy systems in growing regions.
