POLICE AND PROSECUTION CORRUPTION AMONG THE LOWER COURTS OF PUNJAB, PAKISTAN

This research article examines police and prosecution corruption in the lower courts of Punjab, Pakistan, using secondary qualitative and quantitative data from studies conducted between 2019 and 2025. The study explores systemic issues such as bribery, inefficiency, procedural lapses, and political interference, highlighting their impact on justice delivery. Tables and figures illustrate conviction rates, case backlogs, and corruption indicators. The findings indicate that corruption undermines public trust, creates inequity, and delays justice, emphasizing the need for institutional reforms, enhanced training, and accountability mechanisms.
