Abstract

Pakistan has been a part of the war on terrorism since the Soviet Union invasion of Afghanistan, followed by US war on terror. Despite its efforts Pakistan still struggles to get a positive image internationally. This paper is a qualitative study, using content analysis on three leading news magazines of the world to ascertain the image of Pakistan as portrayed in these magazines during the time period of Zarb-e-Azb operation (2014-2016). The quantitative analysis of the data showed that these magazines do not portray a positive image of Pakistan in front of the world. The study is significant to policy makers to take up the issue on high forums and bring in a change in this view.
